Zara launched a debut collection with model Kate Moss on Nov. 30, per a Friday press release from the brand.
It features 40 pieces, including outerwear, innerwear, separates, dresses and a jumpsuit as well as accessories and footwear. Prices range from about $28 for a pair of underwear to $999 for a leather jacket, and the line is co-designed by Moss and her long-time collaborator, stylist Katy England, per the release.
The fall-winter collection, which the retailer called a “party capsule” in its release, is designed to be worn from day to night, and is “inspired by favourites selected from [Moss’] covetable, lovingly curated archives,” per the release. It brings the inimitable Kate Moss eye and her peerlessly elegant, louche taste to customers for the first time in over a decade.
Standout pieces include a long-sleeved, high-neck mini dress embellished with rhinestones, a floral printed silk scarf top, animal printed leather shorts and jacket and a jeweled crop top. The collection also offers laser-cut bias dresses in both cream and black and a 1930s-inspired tea dress
“In a versatile, wearable, cross-generational collection, Miss Moss has taken her knowledge, banked from her life at the highest tier of fashion with one eye perennially locked on the street and translated it into a contemporary collection of classic party pieces,” Zara said in the release.
Moss previously collaborated on a 2007 collection designed for Topshop, and the model recently returned to the runway in October’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Meanwhile, Inditex-owned Zara recently collaborated with former Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati on an expansive collection featuring menswear, womenswear and accessories, featuring advertising with Pilati and model Gisele Bündchen, photographed by Steven Meisel.
