Authentic Brands Group has entered a partnership with Roffe Accessories for the Geoffery Beene Tailored Clothing line, the company announced Tuesday.
Under the deal, Roffe will design, produce and distribute men’s and boys’ tailored clothing. It plans to sell the collections through department stores and online in the U.S. and Canada.
The news comes after Authentic announced another partnership for the Geoffery Beene brand with the Versa Group in April. Under that deal, the Versa Group designs, produces and distributes men’s dress shirts for the brand.
Roffe, a New York-based wholesale apparel company, was founded in 1989 as a neckwear and accessory company before expanding into apparel in 2002. Some of the brands Roffe works with include Jerry Farcia, Duchamp London and Nicole Miller, according to its website.
“Roffe Accessories offers decades of consistent innovation and agility within the apparel and accessory sector,” Scott Orenstein, vice president of Heritage Brands and Lifestyle at Authentic, said in the release. “We are excited to bring quality tailored products through this partnership and expand Geoffrey Beene’s men’s and boys offerings.”
Authentic bought Geoffery Beene from PVH Corp. in 2021 along with heritage brands Izod, Van Heusen and Arrow in a $220 million deal. At the time, PVH said the move was partly so the company could focus on its Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands, a process the company continues to prioritize.
Authentic, a company known to buy struggling businesses, has more than 50 lifestyle and entertainment holdings including Reebok, Nautica and Eddie Bauer. It’s been a busy year for the company, which acquired the intellectual property for Vince and Hunter Boots and also purchased Boardriders, parent company of Roxy, Billabong and Quiksilver.
Authentic made another deal for men’s tailored clothing this year. It partnered with Peerless Clothing in August for the manufacture and distribution of Vince men’s tailored clothing, along with dress shirts, neckwear and neckwear accessories in the U.S. and Canada.
